Description: Hello! My name is Petra, a student coordinator for a new festival at the University of Sydney called PopFest! PopFest is a celebration of all things pop culture and we'd love to have the involvement of the 501st Southern Cross Garrison in some extent. We have a few ideas we'd like to run by you. The first is we are planning a march down Eastern Avenue earlier on to promote the festival. I don't currently have dates for this but I can relay them to you asap if the 501st would like to be involved. The idea is that an army of cosplayers would march to the Imperial March around midday. The second is we'd love to have you at the festival itself. PopFest will take place on the 11th and 12th of September 2019, and is the first of its kind on campus, and we plan to offer students a variety of experiences within the pop culture sector. Star Wars is iconic, and having the 501st involved with the festival would give our students the opportunity to be exposed to the broader Star Wars Community.
